The following is a press release from the King County Sheriff’s department
Just after 1 a.m. today (Feb. 26) three unknown suspects forced their way into a home in the unincorporated area of Renton and shot a man multiple times before fleeing.
Deputies responded to a mobile home in the 17600 block of 196th Avenue SE and found a 27-year-old male that had been shot several times. The victim was transported to the hospital in stable condition and the wounds do not appear to be life threatening. The victim’s girlfriend was inside of the home during the shooting and was not injured. She has said that she did not recognize the suspects.
The suspects are described as being three black males in their 20’s and all were wearing hooded sweatshirts. All three suspects also were carrying unknown caliber handguns. It is unknown how many of the suspects fired on the victim before fleeing the scene.
Detectives are currently still at the scene collecting evidence. There was a delay in entering the home for this evidence search until about 7:30 a.m. because of a large pit bull that had to be removed by King County Animal Control.
The suspects are still outstanding and should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information on this incident is asked to phone 911 or (206) 296-3311.
