Maple Valley Farmers’ Market 2nd Annual Fresh Fruit Pie Baking Contest – Saturday August 27th

Calling all local pie-bakers! A community-wide Fresh Fruit Pie Baking contest is slated for Saturday August 27th at our local Farmers’ Market.  There will be three age divisions for this contest: Youth (17 & under), Adult (18-49) and Senior (50 & over).   Pie submissions must be FRESH FRUIT pies only; no tarts, crisps, creams, meringues, pumpkins, custards. etc. Pies can be dropped off, at the market beginning at 9:30 a.m. – 11:45 a.m. (NOTE: no pies will be accepted after 11:45 a.m.), with judging commencing at noon.  Awards, certificates and ribbons will be handed out to the winning participants. The Maple Valley Farmers’ Market is located at Rock Creek Elementary School –  25700 Maple Valley-Black Diamond Road SE.
